  1.  TSR (TITLE SEARCH REPORT)? OR  LSR (LEGAL SEARCH REPORT)? TSR or LSR? What is this, and what is its importance in the sale-purchase of properties? Just see. TSR/LSR is the same report that a Lender Bank gets from a legal firm before sanctioning a property loan against a particular property. This legal firm makes a deep inquiry of that property in the concerned Sub-Registrar Office, Courts,  Revenue Office, MCD Office, etc. and prepares that report. Banks do not sanction the smallest loan without getting a TSR/LSR. SOME PROPERTY TIPS 1. Never give possession of your property without an appropriate “ Rent Agreement ” to anyone even for a single minute. A tenant without an Agreement may prove very troublesome. 2. I have seen people keeping “Document Registration Counter Slip” for decades. They have not taken back the registered document from the Sub Registrar office . This too may prove very troublesome. How? After decades, you might not get the Registered Document from the Sub Registrar office even after spending thousands of rupees because the office might have misplaced or lost or destroyed your document. 3. If the first floor of DDA flat is freehold , it simply means that the first floor is freehold, not the unauthorized floors built upon this 1st floor. 4. A property which is unauthorized remains unauthorized even if some bank/ NBFC gives a loan upon this property or even if its sale deed gets registered in Sub-Registrar office. 5.
